Welcome
The TTSP is a Jewish community day school for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. There are two divisions within the Day School: a lower school for Kindergarten – 4th grades; and an upper school for 5th – 8th grades. We take pride in offering a rigorous general academic program along with an intellectually stimulating and meaningful Judaic studies curriculum that infuses morals, ethics, and values throughout all courses of study (MCA Test Results). We also know that a child needs to experience the arts, athletics, music and community service programs to grow as a whole person and our programs give them those opportunities. At the Gayle Johnson Cohen Preschool we strive to create a loving, caring environment in which each child is encouraged to develop their own unique learning style. As a Jewish school, we seek an atmosphere in which Judaism, Jewish history, holidays, values, customs and Hebrew language are a living and constant part of our children's everyday lives.
George Kaplan Afternoon School For more information call, 651-698-8807 or email marissa.onheiber@ttsp.org. The Talmud Torah Afternoon School is the only community Jewish supplementary school in St. Paul . Students from St. Paul and its surrounding suburbs attend our program. Some are affiliated with area synagogues while others are unaffiliated. For decades we have been providing our students with quality, substantive Jewish education. Our curriculum is designed to offer students the necessary tools, skills and knowledge needed to create a life filled with the joys of Judaism. Our elementary department teaches students from Mechina (2nd grade) to Hai (7th grade). Classes for 2nd through 6th grade students are held in the afternoon after their school day ends. Seventh graders, though technically in the elementary department, come in the evening with 8th through 12th graders to have a taste of Midrasha life, and to avoid conflicts with after school extra curricular activities.
As a community school, our students come from all branches of Judaism and from families with various levels of Jewish observance. Our diversity is also apparent with our families’ different countries of origin, socio-economic classes and family structures. We are a community that welcomes all. |
